Between mountains, vineyards and the sea

The Côte Vermeille (Vermillion Coast) stretches from Perpignan to the Spanish border. This little piece of France in the extreme south of the Pyrénées-Orientales department is divided between mountains, vineyards, picturesque villages, coves, and stretches of the Mediterranean Sea. The Côte Vermeille benefits from more than 320 days of sunshine per year on average. A winding secondary road runs along the coast for about 18.65 miles (30 km), and the many capes scattered on the coastline offer open panoramas over the Mediterranean environment.
