Between the Durance and the Luberon

Manosque extends at an altitude of approximately 1,246 ft (380 m) on the right bank of the Durance between the hills of Mont d'Or and Toutes Aures. Built on the foothills of the Luberon massif, it dominates the alluvial plain of the Durance and is part of the perimeter of the Luberon geological nature reserve. From the Mont d'Or hill, hikers can see the Luberon, the Sainte Baume, the Haut-Var, and even the pre-Alpine peaks.
