Located in the center-west of the Champagne-Ardenne and the Grand Est, the park is surrounded by three “gateway towns”: Reims (to the north), Épernay (to the south) and Châlons-en-Champagne (to the east). Their inhabitants often regard the park as a green lung and come to relax there on weekends. Forests are sources of walks. In Verzy is the largest set of twisted beeches in Europe, with around 800 specimens. Called the “Verzy falses”, the origin of which is a “real scientific enigma”.
