Snow cover of the Corsican mountains
0
0
The snow cover of the Corsican mountains is quite important given their relatively modest altitude, the highest point of the island being Monte Cinto at 8877ft (2706m). On the adrets (southern slopes) and peaks of the island's alpine stage, the snow often persists until early July while on the ubacs (northern slopes) very large snowfields are still present in August and have not yet disappeared in November at the new snowfalls.
