When Queen Tamaeva V of Rimatara decreed the tabu intended to protect the royal species of Kuhl's Lorikeet, she directly addressed the Ura and told them: ''Eiaha 'oe e haere fa'ahou i te tahi fenua'e' which meant 'you will not go to another island'. She then begged the male Lorikeet 'Ura vaero' and the female Lorikeet 'Ura pa'o' in these terms : 'E noho na'orua i' onei, tiretire o, tiretire a', i.e 'you will live here, you will reproduce again and again', before promising ''Aita atu i muri a'e ia'u nei e' abu fa'abou i teie 'abu', i.e 'no one after me will ever wear this cape again', during the last ceremonies which she presided dressed in her royal cape in Ura feathers.
