In the field of energy resources, Corsica benefits from its geographic diversity and diverse sources of supply which allow it to combine thermal, fossil, hydraulic, solar and wind energy. It notably has two thermal power stations located on the outskirts of the most important consumption centers (Ajaccio and Bastia), four combustion turbines, four hydroelectric dams, a dozen of small hydroelectric power stations and three wind farms.
