Ending the dry season surveys

The dry season surveys are coming to an end in March. So far, the team has conducted crocodile surveys across thirteen crocodile habitats. A majority of the surveys are a repeat of important crocodile sites that were conducted during the wet season.
After March, the team plans to focus on nesting habitat assessments as well as start the capture surveys and habitat evaluations. The second wet season surveys are set to begin in July 2021 to continue evaluating the conservation status of American crocodiles in Jamaica.
