Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, the nose of the Louis Vuitton perfume house, was inspired by the memory of Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza, one of the brand's first clients, to create a perfume. The product combines raw cocoa bean and a mystical oud (resinous wood ) from Assam with a spicy saffron note. Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza, an explorer of the second half of the 19th century, paved the way for French colonization in Central Africa, where he traveled with his custom-made Louis Vuitton bed trunk.
