Le port du Bec est le troisième port dans l'Histoire à se situer sur le Dain. Le Dain est un étier séparant les villages du Port et de l'Epoids, situés respectivement sur les communes de Beauvoir sur Mer et de Bouin.
On l'appelle aussi parfois le «petit port chinois» à cause de ses nombreux pontons en bois qui rappellent les ports de la mer de Chine et leur structure en bambou.
