One of the twelve models of crystal wine decanters from Lalique, the Orchidée decanter has a stopper decorated with a handful of orchids in colourless satin frosted crystal. A limited series offers a stopper coloured with flowers enhanced with gold enamel and fine black veins, in the purest Art Nouveau tradition, brought up to date. The enamel powder diluted with water is applied freehand by the decorator with great precision. Then the stoppers are slowly annealed in the oven at a temperature of about 570°C. This stopper model demonstrates once again the excellence and expertise of Lalique’s craftsmen.
