Elephants's tusks

The elephant tusks are in fact very elongated upper incisors. Elephants use them to defend against predators, to fight, or as tools to feed, to clean soil off vegetation, to dig or even to lift tree trunks or branches.
They grow throughout its life. African males have the longest tusks. The biggest tusks recorded have a length of more than 9 ft (3 meters) and weight of more than 110 lbs (50 kg) each.
