To reach the leaves of a part of the tree crown, too high for him, this solitary elephant bull has just broken down a branch to make his meal easier. He won't eat all, just some leaves, twigs and little branches, and probably chew a bit of bark. However, the rest of the leaves are now reachable for other herbivores, such as antelopes, like kudus or impalas, that will benefit from it.
