Ducos peninsula, from yesterday to today
2
0
Bounded by the Koutio Kouéta bay and the Uaré and Ndu coves, the Ducos peninsula was named in honor of Théodore Ducos, the Minister of Marine and Colonies between 1851 and 1855. Today occupied by a commercial and industrial zone and by mainly social housing, it housed prison deportees in the 19th century before hosting the infrastructures of the American army during the Second World War in the Numbo bay.
