The wooden pallet gives its first shape to the molten glass mass. The equipment of glassmakers has barely evolved since Antiquity. Born in the Middle East around 100 BC, the glassblowing technique then spread throughout the Roman Empire. This innovation allowed the democratization of glass in all layers of society. Today, the Lalique crystal glass-making factory endeavors to perpetuate this long tradition.
