Marc Chagall's stained-glass windows are known to be extremely colorful. Master glassmakers Brigitte Simon and Charles Marq created more than 1,000 samples to reproduce the colors proposed in the sketches he sent them. They are on display at the Centre Pompidou-Metz and reveal the complexity of such a craft. Numerous hours were necessary for the artists to find the light that would bring Chagall's stained-glass windows to life.
