The constitution and number of Przewalski horses family groups in the Monts d'Azur Reserve vary over the years. Nevertheless, the harems still seem to dominate the groups of single stallions. The largest of them, the grand harem, brings together about fifteen individuals and takes advantage of this dominance to occupy a strategic position rich in resources near the great lake of the reserve.
