On the coast of the Var department, Bormes-les-Mimosas offers its summer visitors no less than ten miles (17 km) of fine sandy beaches. Distributed between Pellegrin beach west of the municipality and Favière beach to the east, they are mostly public but sometimes hard to access. This is the case of Cap Léoube beach, extending east of the eponymous cape on the edge of a wine-growing property and protected from sight by a dense forest cover.
