The village of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt in the Vaucluse department extends at the limit of the agricultural plains of the Calavon valley. Most of its cultivated areas are dedicated to cherry trees, olive trees, vines, and lavender. The village extends within the Ventoux AOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) wine area and also produces Pays d'Aigues wines. Truffle culture is also well developed in this region bordered by the Luberon massif, the Monts de Vaucluse and Mont Ventoux.
