Discovering the flora of the dunes
1
0
Extending the top of the beach, the embryonic dune forms the outpost of the white dune. This often altered strip of sand, where the wind draws regular waves, offers a monotonous almost flat expanse populated by small scattered plants. There is the Quackgrass of the sands (Agropyron junceum), the pink of the French Carnation (Dianthus gallicus) or the bright yellow of Orpin (Sedum acre). The aromatic purple thyme (thymus serpyllum), yellow and white bedstraws (Galium verum), they all have a dune fixative role.
