Restored in 2014, the D.530, the last of the Dewoitine D.27 and D.53 fighters, is on display in the Entre-deux-guerres Hall of the Musée de l’Air et de l’Espace (Air and Space Museum) at Le Bourget. The D.530 was the aircraft of Marcel Doret, Dewoitine test pilot and international aerobatic pilot. This high-winged metal monoplane, which left the Argenteuil factory in 1937, was equipped with a 500 hp Hispano-Suiza 12 MD engine. Its power and small size made it the preferred aircraft for air shows before and after the Second World War. It could reach 192 mph (310 km/h).
