Developing Fontfroide's wine-making

When the Abbey of Fontfroide was founded in 1093, the Benedictine monks planted the first vine. The life of an abbey is inseparable from the cultivation of the vine that supplies the wine needed for the celebrations. Quite naturally, important investments were made to restructure the cellar and the vineyard. They were carried out by the heirs of the Fayet family - the first purchasers of the abbey in 1908. The Deo Gratias vintage, created in 2003, is the flagship of the local range. Featured: Laure de Chevron Villette
