The idyllic setting, between lagoon and forest, of Wadra Bay on the southeast coast of Lifou arouses envy. It was chosen by Hilton to build an upscale hotel complex which should open in 2020. Wishing to secure the population on the island by offering sixty direct jobs and four times more induced ones in market gardening, honey, vanilla, fishing and diving, the grand chiefdom of Lössi and the owner families provide the land necessary for this project.
