The two main islands of the Lérins archipelago are covered with dense vegetation. Sainte-Marguerite Island (right) is widely wooded with forests of Aleppo pines and plantations of non-native species in the process of being converted to a natural forest. As for Saint-Honorat Island (left), it is largely occupied by vine and olive groves. It also welcomes transient Aleppo pine forests evolving into yeuseraies dominated by holm oaks sometimes accompanied by downy oaks.
