Cluny Abbey and its Maior Ecclesia shone across Europe in the 12th century through some 1,400 monasteries and priories depending on it. The French Revolution had a deep impact on the religious buildings, most of which were dismantled and their stones, roofs, and furniture resold. Today, only 10% of Cluny Abbey remains, including the Clocher de l'Eau Bénite (Holy Water bell tower) or the Jean-de-Bourbon chapel. Augmented reality screens make it possible to visualize the entire abbey integrated into the site's current physiognomy.
