Determining the time for harvest
0
0
In order to determine whether the time for harvest has come, flax growers check the degree of humidity and the fibers' length. The longer they are, the more they would be used in the textile industry. Deciding when to harvest is complex and requires know-how, expertise, and precise timing. Too early, the still damp flax would not easily lose its straw matrix. Too late, the fibers would dry and brittle.
