Blurred and colored disembodiments

This limaçon (snail) shell and this cicada exuvia, a double disembodiment of the Provençal summer, could certainly have inspired a fable to Jean de la Fontaine or a still life to Paul Cézanne, the painter of the Sainte-Victoire mountain. Blurred and colored, this photo recalls the Impressionist movement of which the painter was one of the most eminent representatives. Cézanne, who almost died while painting in the Sainte-Victoire massif, left his mark in the region.
