Description and use of blinders

Blinders are generally square pieces of leather or plastic that are part of the harness of team horses like this Comtois horse from the 'Attelages du Val d'Amour'. Attached to the bridle itself or on a synthetic cap, they come in pairs and are placed on either side of the horse's eyes. They thus make it possible to obscure the lateral and rear parts of the animal's 340 ° visual field.
