The Louis Vuitton Foundation covers an area of 11,700 m², on the edge of the Jardin d’Acclimatation, in Paris. The building has taken the place of a former bowling alley and a restaurant. Its glass and metal sails rise to a height of over 40 metres. As with each of his architectural projects, architect Frank Gehry built numerous models in wood, plastic and metal to achieve the perfect balance between the central structure of the building and the large glass windows. The whole is set on a basin which, like a mirror, multiplies the reflections to infinity.
