The horse-drawn carriages of the National Stud farms represent a unique ensemble in France that is part of the national heritage and continues to live, in particular during the numerous presentations made on the sites of the IFCE (French Institute of Horse and Equitation). The Haras National du Pin is no exception and has a remarkable collection of horse-drawn carriages, most of which are protected as Historical Monuments. In 1991, Jean-Louis Libourel, a heritage curator and horse-drawn carriage enthusiast, undertook the first historical study on the horse-drawn heritage of the Haras National du Pin. His research led to the publication of a book entitled Heritage Route on the horse-drawn carriages of Le Pin. The visitors to the stud farm have access to five of these horse-drawn vehicles on display in its shed.
