The Brégançon Castle estate in Bormes-les-Mimosas in the Var department covers 1,112 acres (450 ha) from sea level to a few meters above sea level, 104 acres (42 ha) of which are dedicated to wine growing. Though the vines mainly grow on clay-siliceous soil, the upper part of the estate benefits from schist soil, while the plots near Grand Jardin beach grow on sandy soil.
