The natural resources of the Lake Aydat site are numerous. Its 3.4 miles (5.5 km) circumference consists of a wooded environment crossed by twenty marked trails. A Blue Flag label distinguishes the lake for its equipment, site management, environmental education, and sanitary quality of its water. Lake Aydat is also a privileged area for fishing enthusiasts, filled with roaches, perches, ruffes, carps, tenches, pikes, chubs, and pike perches dwelling in a regulated framework with private management. Finally, a few aquatic plants of shallow ponds shores, such as the American pondweed (Littorella uniflora) and Ellatine hexandra, around thirty bird species, and thirteen dragonfly species have been identified on the lake.
