Many ancestral toys are part of the catalog of the Vilac house of Moirans-en-Montagne in Jura. This is the case with these bowling pins which represent one of their flagship products. Made of turned and varnished beech wood, they are then partially soaked in a bath of white lacquered paint before being put to dry (photo). This partial soaking, obviously more delicate and more precise than a total immersion, adds to the aesthetic value of the finished product.
