The 1970s saw the emergence of the concept of urban furniture. The GHM foundry in Sommevoire (Haute-Marne) has continued the production of timeless models and has developed a new contemporary range in parallel. Since 1995, GHM has also manufactured tramway masts. From the outset, the company has been involved in prestigious projects in Paris (lighting of the Champs-Elysées, Alexandre-III bridge, Guimard metro entrances) and in many capitals throughout the world. It also produces collections of candelabras in cast iron, aluminium, and steel.
