Built in 1846 and the only cable structure in the Yonne department, Cézy bridge is classified in the 3rd category of the most damaged structures. Beyond its annual inspection and pending major works, it is subject to preventive safety measures such as a traffic limitation to 6.2 miles per hour (10km/h) and 3.5 tonnes. Since 2014, it has been closed by barriers when the temperature drops below 32°F (0°C).
