Lakes suspended above the Malrif valley

Lake Grand Laus (8,461 ft / 2,579 m) is the largest of the three Malrif lakes located in the Queyras massif. It extends over approximately 1,148 ft (350 m) in length and 492 ft (150 m) in width. It is dominated in altitude by Lake Mézan (8,776 ft / 2,675 m) - with a diameter of a hundred meters (328 ft) - itself dominated by Lake Petit Laus (9,202 ft / 2,805 m), slightly smaller. These three lakes are suspended above the Malrif valley on the right bank of the Guil.
