The main axes of communication in Norman Switzerland were created from the second half of the 20th century. At that time, the region opened up to the outside with the establishment of small industries using the driving force of the Orne. A departmental road linking Falaise to Pont-d'Ouilly was traced between the Cambronnerie rocks and the river, the course of which was straightened by cutting the rock and occasionally building dykes. The Clécy railway viaduct (photo) over which the Caen-Flers railway line passes is part of this infrastructure.
