The Sequana Tower is part of a complex of two buildings constructed in 2010 on the site of the former 87-metre high EDF Tower, which was destroyed in 2007. Sequana is located in the new Seine Ouest district of Paris, a state-of-the-art district where several buildings meet HQE environmental standards. An array of innovative energy equipment enables the Sequana Tower to consume 90 kilowatt hours per square metre per year, 40% less than the 2005 thermal regulation standard. This performance is close to the requirements of a LEB (low energy building) for an estimated 5% extra construction cost.
