Horses bred for races, sales, and competitions

The horses of the Haras des Étincelles (Étincelles stud farm) in Mesnil-Simon in the Calvados department live mainly outdoors on the 99 acres (40 ha) of meadows and facilities owned by Olivia Saelens. Each meadow is equipped with its own shelter, and each horse is followed by a nutritionist who prepares its rations à la carte. The horses of the young stud farm created in 2015 are bred to enter races or be presented at sales and in model and gait competitions. Some foals born at the stud farm have already distinguished themselves, such as Éclair Étincelle, who became the stud farm's first winner on September 8, 2019, in Sablé-sur-Sarthe.
