Since 2011, UNESCO has listed traditional French riding as a Cultural Heritage. The Haras National du Pin (National stud farm) rubs shoulders with the Cadre Noir of Saumur, the Living Horse Museum, the Great Stables of Chantilly, and the Royal Stables of Versailles. Many prestigious horses came to sire at the Haras National du Pin, like Furioso, an English stallion buried standing in 1967. Its descendants have won many jumping competitions and Grand Complets around the world. Specialists say that there is a little of Furioso in every champion.
