Pins or punches made at the forge

0
The pins or punches used by the Guédelon stonemasons are made in the forge on the construction site located in the Yonne department. These tools are used for squaring blocks and roughing hard stones or reducing their surface. They are formed of an iron rod of circular or orthogonal section with a sharp pyramidal end. The opposite end forms a slightly beveled head on which the stonemason strikes with an iron mallet.
