Boats with various woods

Mostly built between the Second World War and the 1970s and 1980s, the barquettes marseillaises stopping by the Borg workshops for their repair or maintenance combine different woods. The spine of their axial frame and the pulleys are made of iroko wood, a durable exotic wood that does not require preservation treatment. The planking - i.e. all the boards that make up the outer covering - is in red-brown niangon. The frames have ash ribs, while the mast consists of red northern wood.
