The Explorers
The surroundings of Leucate, where the sea merges with the pond, are marked by the huts of the oyster farmers and the oyster beds. The huts are lined up in rows, and the oyster farmers frequently welcome fish and seafood amateurs. The village is known for raising two main oyster varieties available for tasting: the Cap Leucate and the Caramoun, a hollow and thin oyster with a hazelnut taste and long finish.
