The Blue River Provincial Park was created in the South Province of Grande-Terre in 1980 on an area of 22,000 hectares. It brings together three types of environment - mining scrubs, wetlands and dense forests - characterized by the abundance and diversity of their flora with a particularly high rate of endemism.
