Delphes la Rouge

Nicknamed Delphes la Rouge (Delphes the Red) by Jean Vilar because of its particular geology, Roussillon was the French capital of ocher until 1945. Located 7.4 mi (12 km) west of Apt in the heart of the Luberon Regional Nature Park, this small village of 1300 inhabitants listed among the most beautiful villages of France displays the colors of the ocher cliffs to which its entire history is linked.
