Dedicated to their land

Tradition continues among the winegrowers of Champagne. Despite the soaring prices of their vineyards (more than one million euros per hectare in 2018), the plots of land are passed on as much as possible within the same family. You don’t sell land where your ancestors have worked so hard. Struggles were necessary at the beginning of the 20th century for the heritage to be maintained and for the Champagne wine region to be delimited. Selling this land would be like taking away a part of themselves. In the Marguet family, the Champagne land has been handed down from father to son for five generations.
