Since 1865, the Cornille-Havard bell foundry has been located in a well preserved historical village in the heart of the Normandy bocage. Villedieu-les-Poêles is both the City of Copper and the first French Commanderie of the Knights of Malta. It was therefore logical to find a bell caster there. Each year, the foundry receives more than 50,000 visitors. The reception is cordial and the information very interesting. Visitors can thus discover nine centuries of tradition, ranging from ancestral techniques to the most advanced ones.
