Decorations made by artists

For 30 years, Cornille-Havard has had painters and sculptors create custom designs for church bells. After taking over the company in 2012, Paul Bergamo continued this tradition, with decorations for large projects being still designed by artists. In 2013, the foundry was chosen to cast the eight new bells for the north tower of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Three signatures can be seen on each bell: those of the Cornille-Havard foundry, Virginie Bassetti’s, the designer of the decorations, and Jean-Claude Quinette’s, the engraving artist who assisted the designer.
