Decanting old wines
0
0
Wine decantation consists of separating the liquid from the deposits present in the bottle. This step is particularly adapted to old wines. A few hours before being served, the bottle must be placed vertically to allow the deposit to settle at the bottom. One to two hours before serving, the wine is uncorked so that it can breathe. After this time, the quality of the wine may be altered due to too much exposure to oxygen.
