In 2018, the Distilleries et Domaines de Provence of Forcalquier acquired two new stills (photo). The former still, installed in a barn, dated from 1880. These new pieces of equipment, one fitted with a gooseneck and the other with a plate column, have a capacity of 132 to 264 Gals (500 to 1,000 L). Though they do not modify the overall procedure, they reduce the distillation times, increase the distilled volumes and regulate the temperatures by maintaining them down to the very last drop.
