The width and depth of the Verdon Gorges vary greatly depending on the sections. They range from 820 to 2,296 feet (250 to 700 meters) deep and 19.6 to 328 feet (6 to 100 meters) wide at river level to 656 to 4,921 feet (200 to 1,500 meters) from side to side at the top of the gorges. The deepest part is the Grand Canyon located between La Palud-sur-Verdon and Aiguines (close to this photo).
